Dabindu conducted an awareness program on Sexual and Reproductive Health for 25 garment factory workers on 26th October 2025 in collaboration with the Biyagama Medical Officer of Health.
During the session, the MOH discussed the services provided at the MOH office, sexual health across the human life cycle from birth to old age, sexually transmitted infections, and family planning methods. After the awareness session, participants were given the opportunity to receive private medical sessions.
This program is an essential component of the project to advocate for the sexual and reproductive health rights and dignity of garment women workers in Sri Lanka.
ඇඟලුම් සේවිකාවන් 25 දෙනෙකු සඳහා ලිංගික හා ප්රජනන සෞඛ්ය පිළිබඳව දැනුවත්කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනක් 2025/10/26 දින පැවැත්වීය. මෙම වැඩසටහන බියගම සෞඛ්ය වෛද්ය නිළධාරීතුමාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් සිදුවිය.
මෙහිදී සෞඛ්ය වෛද්ය නිළධාරීතුමා විසින් සෞඛ්ය වෛද්ය නිළධාරී කාර්යාලයේ දී සිදුවන සේවාවන් පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡාකළ අතර ලිංගිකත්වය,මිනිසෙකුගේ උපතේ සිට මහලු වියට යන තෙක්ම නිරෝගීව සිටින ආකාරය පිළිබදව ලිංගිකව සම්ප්රේෂණය වන රෝග උපත් පාලන ක්රම පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීම සිදුවිය. දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනින් අනතුරුව පෞද්ගලිකව වෛද්ය උපදෙස් ලබාගැනීමට හැකිවිය.
මෙය ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ඇඟලුම් ක්ෂේත්රයේ කාන්තා සේවිකාවන්ගේ ලිංගික සහ ප්රජනක සෞඛ්ය අයිතිවාසිකම් සහ අභිමානය වෙනුවෙන් උද්දේශනය කිරීම පිළිබඳ අපගේ ව්යාපෘතියේ කොටසකි.
