SRHR Awareness Programme for Workers in Biyagama, held on the 25th of May, 2025

On May 25, 2025, Dabindu Collective organized a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Awareness Program at Biyagama, with the participation of female garment workers from different factories in the area.

The program created a safe space for women to openly share their struggles, learn about their bodies, and receive professional guidance on vital SRHR topics. Activities such as body mapping, reflection exercises, and an interactive medical session encouraged both knowledge-sharing and emotional empowerment. Participants expressed deep gratitude, noting how the program helped them break the silence around taboo topics and gave them the confidence to speak up about their health.

This discussion formed an essential component of the Dabindu Collective project, which is dedicated to uplifting the sexual and reproductive health rights and dignity of women garment workers in Sri Lanka.
