An awareness program on Sexual and Reproductive Health for 25 garment factory workers was held on 28th September 2025 at the Tamarin Hotel premises in Biyagama, under the leadership of the Biyagama Medical Officer of Health.
During the session, the MOH discussed the services provided at the MOH office, sexual health across the human life cycle from birth to old age, sexually transmitted infections, and family planning methods. After the awareness session, participants were given the opportunity to receive personal medical advice.
This program is an essential component of the project to strengthen the sexual and reproductive health rights and dignity of garment women workers in Sri Lanka.
