Dabindu held our Final in-depth training on Sexual and Reproductive Health for worker leaders of Katunayake and Biyagama on the 29th of June 2025. This training was conducted by Paba Deshapriya from the Grassrooted Trust. This training series marked the beginning of sisterhood discussions at boarding house level. These leaders continue to educate workers living in their own boarding homes and create a community around speaking about our bodies, which is mostly considered taboo.
This is part of our project on Advocating for the sexual and reproductive health rights & dignity of women workers in the Sri Lankan garment industry.
2025 ජුනි 29 වන දින කටුනායක සහ බියගම සේවක නායකයින් සඳහා ලිංගික හා ප්‍රජනක සෞඛ්‍යය පිළිබඳ අපගේ අවසාන ගැඹුරු පුහුණුව ඩබිඳු විසින් පවත්වන ලදී. මෙම පුහුණුව ග්‍රාස්රූටඩ් ට්‍රස්ට්හි පබා දේශප්‍රිය විසින් මෙහෙයවන ලදී. මෙම පුහුණු මාලාව නේවාසිකාගාර මට්ටමින් සහෝදරත්ව සාකච්ඡාවල ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කළේය. මෙම නායකයින් නේවාසිකාගාරවල ජීවත් වන සේවකයින් හා එක්ව අපගේ ශරීර සහ සෞඛ්‍ය ගැන කතා කිරීමට ප්‍රජාවක් නිර්මාණය කර ඇත.
මෙය ශ්‍රී ලංකා ඇඟලුම් කර්මාන්තයේ කාන්තා සේවිකාවන්ගේ ලිංගික හා ප්‍රජනක සෞඛ්‍ය අයිතිවාසිකම් සහ ගෞරවය වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටීම පිළිබඳ අපගේ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ කොටසකි.
