In order to address ground-level issues related to sexual and reproductive health, several civil society organizations have networked under the name Community Voices for Reproductive Rights (CVRR).
Within this initiative, as part of the Dabindu Collective’s project on empowering community voices through strengthening sexual and reproductive rights, a community awareness and prevention program was conducted on September 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Nugawala Community Hall in Katana.
The program was organized and facilitated by the Community Brotherhood Organization, with women community leaders identified as the target group for this awareness session. This discussion formed an essential component of the Dabindu Collective project, which is dedicated to uplifting the sexual and reproductive health rights and dignity of women garment workers in Sri Lanka.
