In order to address ground-level issues related to sexual and reproductive health, several civil society organizations have networked under the name Community Voices for Reproductive Rights (CVRR). As part of this initiative, with the support of the Dabindu Collective, a nutrition program and awareness session on reproductive health was conducted yesterday at the local children’s park, in celebration of Children’s Day and Elders’ Day, as a step towards strengthening community voices.
On this occasion, a cutlet and a delicious mixed vegetable meal were provided to all children and elders. The program was organized and facilitated by the Citizens’ Committee Organization, and this discussion formed an essential part of the Dabindu Collective project, which aims to uplift the sexual and reproductive health rights and dignity of women garment workers in Sri Lanka.
