Under the Community Voices for Reproductive Rights (CVRR) – SRHR Awareness Project by Dabindu Collective, in collaboration with our implementing partner Sri Wimukthi Diwara Ha Kantha Sanwidhanaya, a special awareness program was successfully held at Jubilee Hall, Negombo. This session was conducted by Dr. Sathyani Wevita with the participation of 52 women from the fisher community.
The session created a safe space to discuss and learn about Sexual and reproductive health, menstrual cycle & wellbeing, myths and misconceptions in the community, sexual disorders, sharing personal experiences, and the importance of awareness for children. This dialogue empowered women with knowledge, encouraged open conversations, and promoted healthier attitudes toward SRHR in the community.
